Gregory Peters a writer, graphic designer and most of all an artist, contacted me to collaborate with him in this unique, creative and beautiful project. Of course, I said yes as his love for nature and the American West is as strong as my love and passion for wildlife.
Gregory wanted to tell a story in pictures of artwork that many could relate to. With his knowledge of history and loads of sayings and wisdom that he has collected over the years, the ebook was born.
The book itself is not very long, but filled with his country art that features an end to the Western era and my wildlife paintings. It also has the history as to a time long ago to now telling how the American West has changed, not just the land but wildlife as well.
Don't get me wrong, as this is not a book loaded with history, but a book showing the beauty through our artwork. Along with famous words of wisdom, sayings and bits of poetry from interesting people, to what was and is now.
I have enjoyed collaborating with Gregory on this book and in some ways shows why I paint the beauty of wildlife and nature. I hope you get a chance to visit Gregory's website.
Once you receive the free ebook, please, feel free to share it with your friends and family or have them sign up for my newsletters and they will each get a copy.
It is an honor and very rewarding to me to share my wildlife art with you! Thank You!

Before starting a new painting, I research my subject for facts, habitat, geographical areas and whatever else that I can learn about the animal. I am amazed at times of what I learn that I did not know about my subject. So here are a few facts about Brown Bears that you may be interested in. Grizzlies are brown bears, but not all brown bears are grizzlies. Grizzlies are a subspecies of a brown bear and are mostly seen inland, but along the coastlines of Alaska and Canada they are brown bears.
The color of the fur of a brown bear depends upon their diet and temperature of the geographical area in which they live. The fur is typical a dark brown, but are also whitish, blond, red or black. Brown bears have a keen sense of smell, but with poor eyesight and can live in the wild for 20 to 25 years. They express their emotion with growls, grunts and moans and communicate through movement, sounds and smell.
Here is my newest painting depicting a Brown Bear coming out of the water onto the shore with a little attitude. Fine art Giclee prints are available in other sizes. Use my contact form with the title of the painting to inquire other sizes and price.
Women Artists of the West accepted three of my paintings for their online Spring show. You can see the entire show on their website: www.waow.org/
Theme of the exhibit was Spring, so here are the 3 paintings selected for this show.
I just love seeing Great Blue Herons as they are such a fascinating bird. The patience they have as they stand so motionless, almost like a statue just waiting for a fish to appear. At times I have seen Great Blue Herons near my back yard as there is a little marsh area with cattails. I personally have not seen one swimming although according to some people they can and do swim, especially if they wade out into really deep water.
Here is my newest painting depicting a Great Blue Heron wading in deep water. Fine art Giclee prints are available in other sizes. Use my contact form with the title of the painting to inquire other sizes and price.
Was so surprised and honored to be invited by Southwest Art Magazine to be included in "Ones To Collect" section of the October 2018 issue.
