For this painting, I wanted to depict a pair of black wolves in a natural habitat as moonlight shining through the trees and their focus intently to whatever is beyond the moonlit opening. I have spent a great deal of time watching the black wolves at the Wolf Mountain Nature Center in Smyrna, NY and it is amazing to watch these beautiful creatures interact with each other. |
