My goal for this painting of a grey wolf was to emphasize the contrast of the wolf's warm fur against his reflection in the cold, icy stream. As this lone wolf waits quietly by the stream, something catches his attention. Wolves normally live in packs and yet at times they are dispersed from the pack and are out on their own. Wolves are very territorial and therefore a lone wolf has to be very cautious not to tread into another wolves territory. |
